Corporate Event Emcee in New York City

DJ Reese of No Stress Zone Entertainment is a corporate event emcee in New York City. We host awards shows, corporate conferences, galas and brand activations across Manhattan and the five boroughs, and we run the music too, so one operator owns the mic and the room. Our New York proof is on the record: the FTF News Awards at Hard Rock Hotel New York, booked two years in a row, and seven consecutive years at the 9/11 Day Meal Pack at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.

FTF News runs an annual awards event in New York City. They hired us as corporate emcee and DJ in 2025, then booked us again for June 16, 2026. An awards night is the least forgiving format in corporate events: every category call, every walk up and every acceptance has to land on time, because the honoree is the reason the room showed up.

  • Hosted the program and kept award category transitions on the run of show
  • Walk up music tailored to each winner as they were called to the stage
  • Cocktail hour and dinner music paced to the room without competing with conversation
  • Program flow support that made the FTF team look good in front of their clients

The best corporate DJ we’ve ever worked with.

NYC case study: 9/11 Day Meal Pack at the Intrepid

Every September 11, volunteers fill the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum to pack meal kits for New Yorkers facing hunger. In 2025 more than 6,500 volunteers packed over 2 million meal kits there. We have worked the New York flagship every year since 2020, and 2026 was our seventh consecutive year.

From 2020 through 2025 the role was DJ, with announcements from the booth across a two day pack. In 2026 we were DJ and emcee: introductions, announcements and defined parts of the run of show, on top of the music. The 2026 pack was also covered on the news by 11Alive. The moment that earned the expanded role came in 2024. The pack was running behind its meal target and the organizers asked us to lift the last shift. Volunteers had been packing for hours and the room was flagging. We changed the music, took the mic, and the shift hit the goal. That is audience engagement measured in meals, not applause.

In 2026, the 25th anniversary, the pack ran four days, September 8 to 11, and we hosted and ran the music every day. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined the packing floor on day two.

What a corporate event emcee does in a New York room

New York corporate events run tight. Venues turn rooms fast, speakers arrive late, and the audience has somewhere else to be. The emcee is the person who keeps the program moving when that happens.

  • Opens the program, sets expectations and gets the room settled fast
  • Introduces executives, speakers and honorees with names and titles right the first time
  • Covers transitions and technical delays so the room never sits in dead air
  • Keeps segments on time and adjusts the pace when the program runs long
  • Drives audience engagement moments that serve the event objective, not the host

Emcee and DJ in one booking

Most corporate events in New York City hire a host and a DJ separately, then hope the handoffs work. We run both from one position: the same person who introduces your CEO also fires the walk up music, so there is no gap between the mic and the music and no second vendor to brief. For a corporate event planner, that means one contract, one run of show and one call on show day.

What it costs to book a corporate event emcee

Single day corporate conferences typically run $2,500 to $10,000, depending on hours, the number of segments we host and whether we also run music. We recommend booking 60 to 90 days out. For a closer number, use our pricing calculator or read what a corporate emcee costs.

How we prepare

  • A planning call to learn the business goal, the audience and the moments that matter most
  • We work from your run of show and coordinate directly with your producer and AV team before load in
  • Name pronunciations, titles and award order confirmed in writing before the event
  • We arrive two hours before start time to set up and test. Full details are in our technical rider
  • Fully insured, with a certificate of insurance available on request

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover all five boroughs?

Yes. We work across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, plus the wider NYC metro. We are based in Marlton, New Jersey, and travel is built into the quote.

Can one person emcee and DJ the same event?

Yes, and it is our most booked format. At the FTF News Awards we hosted the program and ran every walk up and transition from the same position.

Do you work with the venue AV team?

Always. We coordinate with your producer and the in house AV team on the run of show before load in, and we bring backup wireless microphones.

What kinds of New York events do you host?

Awards shows, corporate conferences, galas, sales kickoffs, service days and brand activations.
