RMS Sales Kickoff, Martin’s Crosswinds, Greenbelt, Maryland

Regency Management Services brought 500 people from its sales team, leadership and partners to Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt for its annual sales kickoff on March 22, 2026. It was the second year in a row they booked us as host and music operator. A sales kickoff lives or dies on momentum: award segments, leadership remarks and recognition moments stacked back to back, with a room that needs to leave ready to sell.

  • Hosted a run of show with more than 20 segments
  • Zero dead air between segments, with music and mic run from one position
  • Rebooked for a second consecutive kickoff, and RMS also brought us in for its gala

DMV case study: Walk MS at Nationals Park

Walk MS: Washington, D.C. at Nationals Park, May 4, 2025

On May 4, 2025 the National MS Society held Walk MS: Washington, D.C. at Nationals Park, and we were emcee and DJ on the outdoor stage, booked directly by the Society. An outdoor walk is not a ballroom. The crowd arrives in waves, forms up, leaves on the route and comes back, so the mic has to run the start on time and the music has to carry the whole site. The Society then added us to its Ocean City, Maryland walk, an event it had not planned to book a DJ for.

We contacted him to fill in last minute and he absolutely elevated our production. I don’t think there was a moment during our day where the music dropped.

Scott Fulmer, National MS Society

DMV case study: Lidl US Strategy Conference, Arlington, Virginia

In 2025 Lidl US brought more than 500 people to the Renaissance Arlington for its strategy conference, and we were emcee and DJ. A strategy conference is a leadership room: the content is the point, and the host’s job is to protect it, keep sessions on time and bring the energy back up between the heavy blocks. The client’s feedback was that we did an amazing job, kept people engaged and showed the ultimate professionalism. It sits on top of a seven year relationship with Lidl US that includes 72 grand openings. How we ran the strategy conference.

Convention experience: NEA Representative Assembly children’s program

On July 4, 2016, the National Education Association booked us directly to run the children’s program at its Representative Assembly, the national delegate meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. More than 300 children of mixed ages, all day, with the music, the microphone and the activities run by one person. It is the room where we learned that a convention runs on more than the main stage. NEA case study.

What a corporate event emcee does in a DC room

Washington audiences include government contractors, associations and executives who have heard every opener. The emcee earns attention by being prepared and precise, then uses it to move the program.

  • Opens the program, sets expectations and gets the room settled fast
  • Introduces executives, officials and honorees with names and titles right the first time
  • Covers transitions and technical delays so the room never sits in dead air
  • Keeps general sessions and award segments on time
  • Drives audience engagement moments that serve the event objective, not the host

Emcee and DJ in one booking

Most corporate events in Washington DC hire a host and a DJ separately, then hope the handoffs work. We run both from one position: the same person who introduces your CEO also fires the walk up music, so there is no gap between the mic and the music and no second vendor to brief. For a corporate event planner, that means one contract, one run of show and one call on show day.

What it costs to book a corporate event emcee

Single day corporate conferences typically run $2,500 to $10,000, depending on hours, the number of segments we host and whether we also run music. We recommend booking 60 to 90 days out. For a closer number, use our pricing calculator or read what a corporate emcee costs.
