Corporate Event Emcee in Philadelphia

DJ Reese of No Stress Zone Entertainment is a corporate event emcee for Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley. We are based in Marlton, New Jersey, about 30 minutes from Center City, and we host corporate conferences, galas, sales kickoffs and brand activations, running the music too so one operator owns the mic and the room. In Philadelphia we have worked as DJ and emcee for Saquon Barkley’s Hope to Dream event with Ashley at The Phield House in November 2025, Brickworks Design Studio at 123 Broad Street in 2023 and 2024, the December 2, 2020 Lidl US grand opening and two Insomnia Cookies locations in 2023, backed by conference hosting for audiences of 300 to more than 500 across the Northeast corridor.

Saquon Barkley’s Hope to Dream with Ashley at The Phield House, Philadelphia, November 2025

In November 2025 the Michael Ann and Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation, Ashley and The Salvation Army brought Hope to Dream to The Phield House in Philadelphia. Fifty children were surprised with brand new beds, mattresses and bedding, with Saquon Barkley in the room and interactive activities running around the reveal. We were DJ and emcee.

A room like this runs on a handful of moments: the arrival, the surprise and the photos, with local news cameras rolling. The job is to keep fifty kids engaged between those moments, then land each one on cue so the families, the foundation and the partners all get the moment they came for. It is the same skill a corporate brand activation needs, with a much less forgiving audience.

Ashley experiential activation with Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, February 7, 2026

On February 7, 2026, Ashley brought Jordan and Jonathan Knight of New Kids on the Block to its store in Bensalem, Bucks County, just outside Philadelphia, and about 3,000 fans showed up. We were emcee and DJ: building the crowd before the Knights arrived, running the free merch giveaways and the drawing for a trip to Las Vegas to see New Kids live, and keeping the floor energized after the big moment passed. Philadelphia hit radio station Q102 covered the event, and you can see us on the mic in Q102 Philly’s video of the day. We were booked through Regency Management Services, which runs promotional events for Ashley. Read the Ashley case study.

Summer 2026: Ashley’s Ultimate Summer Giveaway. Regency Management Services booked us again as emcee and DJ for all three stops of Ashley’s summer series: York, Pennsylvania and Deptford and Northfield, New Jersey. Each stop featured concert ticket giveaways, more than $10,000 in prizes and interactive booths from Q102 Philly, 92.5 XTU, 95.1 WAYV, Froggy 107.7 and Warm 103.3. Q102 Philly tagged us in its coverage, and J.Pac Productions, who photographed the series, credited the music to DJ Reese by name. See the J.Pac Productions recap.

Philadelphia case study: Lidl US grand opening, Northeast Philadelphia, December 2, 2020

RoleDJ and emcee

On December 2, 2020, Lidl US opened its new store at 9175 Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia, and we were DJ and emcee for the grand opening. Hundreds of people waited outside for the doors to open. It ran in the cold, under pandemic rules. That combination takes away most of what a host normally leans on: there is no warm room to hold the energy, hundreds of people are standing outdoors in December, and the rules keep them apart.

The job did not change. The people waiting outside still needed to feel welcome, the program still had to run, and the ribbon cutting still had to happen on time. Outdoors in winter, the host has to work harder for every minute of attention: steady music so the line never goes quiet, a mic that keeps talking to the people waiting so nobody feels forgotten, and a program tight enough that nobody stands in the cold longer than they have to.

Lidl US announced the opening, and the safety measures in place for visitors, on its Facebook page that day. This is the kind of room a corporate event planner never wants to hand to an untested host. It is one of 72 Lidl US grand openings we have hosted over seven years. See the Lidl US case study.

Philadelphia events we have hosted

In Philadelphia we have worked as DJ and emcee for brands and businesses that needed the room to feel right and the program to run on time:

Lidl US grand openings in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania

Over seven years we have hosted 72 Lidl US grand openings, including stores in Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania. A grand opening is a live event with no second take: a crowd outside the doors, store leadership on the program and a ribbon cutting that has to happen on time. We host the program, run the music and keep the crowd engaged from the first customer in line to the doors opening. See the Lidl US case study.

What a corporate event emcee does in a Philadelphia room

Philadelphia corporate events draw from Center City firms, the University City research community and the suburban corridors along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Audiences expect substance. The emcee keeps the program moving and makes the people on stage look good.

  • Opens the program, sets expectations and gets the room settled fast
  • Introduces executives, speakers and honorees with names and titles right the first time
  • Covers transitions and technical delays so the room never sits in dead air
  • Keeps general sessions and award segments on time
  • Drives audience engagement moments that serve the event objective, not the host

Emcee and DJ in one booking

Most corporate events in Philadelphia hire a host and a DJ separately, then hope the handoffs work. We run both from one position: the same person who introduces your CEO also fires the walk up music, so there is no gap between the mic and the music and no second vendor to brief. For a corporate event planner, that means one contract, one run of show and one call on show day.

What it costs to book a corporate event emcee

Single day corporate conferences typically run $2,500 to $10,000, depending on hours, the number of segments we host and whether we also run music. We recommend booking 60 to 90 days out. For a closer number, use our pricing calculator or read what a corporate emcee costs.

How we prepare

  • A planning call to learn the business goal, the audience and the moments that matter most
  • We work from your run of show and coordinate directly with your producer and AV team before load in
  • Name pronunciations, titles and award order confirmed in writing before the event
  • We arrive two hours before start time to set up and test. Full details are in our technical rider
  • Fully insured, with a certificate of insurance available on request

Frequently asked questions

How far are you from Philadelphia?

We are based in Marlton, New Jersey, about 30 minutes from Center City, so Philadelphia is home market travel, not a road trip.

Do you cover the suburbs?

Yes. King of Prussia, the Main Line, the Navy Yard, University City and South Jersey are all within our regular service area.

Can one person emcee and DJ the same event?

Yes, and it is our most booked format. One operator runs the mic and the music from the same position.

Do you work with the venue AV team?

Always. We coordinate with your producer and the in house AV team on the run of show before load in, and we bring backup wireless microphones.
